Na wa oooooo…….And i did not blog for quite a bit of time. I have been very busy with personal stuffs that i never even had time to write any piece. I have been very much conversant with loads of stuffs that i have so many articles in my head already. Styl-plus made a new Video album, i particuarly like the “Imagine that” Video, but hated that “Iya Basira” with all passion. “Home within your heart” is my best for now and i particularly enjoy watching it over and over again.
I finally got my laptop back after two days of it hanginin one of my misplaced luggage at the airport. this will give me freedom of writing.
I miss you all, so look forward to more gist on the Styl-plus new video and some others.
Ok, maybe i delayed this a bit, but i guess its worth it. I am once again romancing with my second love( My laptop of course!) and thinking really deeply on how i have come to linger on and doing without it. I am thousand miles away in the airport lounge of Doha international airport in Qatar. After enduring a 7 hours crampy flight (what do you expect, when i seem to be looking for the cheapest airline), i finally settled in a comfy chair and switched on my laptop. Good graicous, there is a free internet access. My heart beat faster as i wait impatiently to connect. I got really thirsty of music that i brought out and switched on my Ministry of sound MP3 (I say again that i hate Ipods!).
I feel a sense of relieve as Ruggeddman dish out the ” Baraje” track that engross myself in nodding and nearly dancing. I grew up not having interest in western hiphop, R n B that Naijahiphop created a haven of some sort for me. While going through my daly routine, i suddenly noticed that NV has updated her blog. I was for a bit worried as she’s used to blogging every Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Thank God she’s back, like i said earlier in one of my post, we are going to rock celebrating NaijaMusic till the end. Naijacutee also defied all odds and set up her blog as well. Mmm….I am not surprised at the business direction she is taking the blog to as she’s one of the sisters that rejuvenate the business spirit in me.
Ok Ok Ok…enough of the biz thingy. I am leaving you with this video to get you groovy.
My battery is going down so i gotta post this fast. bear with al typo’s and grammatical errors.
I sincerely have been very busy, this is to do with trying to earn money and studying at the same time. I have recently lost contact with TV as well. TV……me?.not watch TV in a day…..thats a record, but trying hard to pursue a purpose driven life has distracted me from keeping up with Naija Music on the web and on TV.
While trying to bring back my addiction,I bought myself a new “Ministry of Sounds” Music Player ( Sorry, but i hate ipods!). It was much more better than my old MP3 that requires a AA size battery, and the dinstinctiveness of the sound makes the difference clear.
As usual, i downloaded almost 100 nigerian tracks on it from my PC as i marvel at the amount of Nigerian MP3 tracks i have accumulated over the past 2 years. A whooping three hundred in total.
Not to digress from the main point of my post, i for the first time was able to segment the beats from the instrumentals of Jazzman Olofins “shake something” and i just could’nt get it out of my head that OJB Jezrel did a very good job smithing the beat. The success of that track is not even in the lyrical composition of Jazzman’s but that of OJB dexterity as a beatsmith. For those of you who have’nt listen to it, then here it is below:
i finally laid my hands on the full album of “face “grass 2 Grace”, and if you notice from one of my earlier post, i simply did not feel “for instance”. Thank God i am now happy with tuface as his track “as you see me so” and “one love” seem to appeal greatly to me. Look out for my review on the good ones very soon.
Ok, i don’t know how long this video has been out, but i had the opportunity to watch this on Primetime today and i just couldn’t get it off my mind. Since the days of “Bonsue Fuji”, i have been a great fan. Ok, Ayuba has it out with Mellow, a hit fuji song. its got nice vidoe as well, so enjoy it. For those of you who dont know, he did a collab with Jazman olofin in “Raise da Roof”.
I am feeling sleepy here. I need to go to bed, after a dose of ten mixtracks of Naija HipHop.
